I noticed most reviews are from moms. But I believe a father's input is needed. Since most men have bespoke suits. Where we chose the materials and cut. Always compare the material to his dad's suit. Don't let your son wear a cheap shiny polyester suit. Here's my perspective. The drape and thread count resemble a super 110s or 120s. But the composition is 40% wool and 60% poly. For a winter suit, 100% wool is ideal. But 80% wool with some viscose and rayon also works well. Avoid polyester when possible. It's only useful as a secondary material mixed into wool, linen, silk, etc.If you must know, the super numbers relate to the thread count for wool. Which influences the feel and look of the suit. 100 or less is harsh like a potato sack or a poly suit. 150+ is very luxurious, moving like a second skin. The swath looks a men's mid level suit. It's also much thinner than a winter wool suit, it has the thickness of a spring or fall suit. The cut is clearly an Italian fit, made for a skinny kid. To compliment a skinny waist, scrawny shoulders, and noodle limbs. If your kid is mid sized, I'd go for an English fit. It's very middle of the road. Where it's still focuses on the waist and shoulder. If your kid is wider, get an American fit. Which is generous in the mid section and limbs, to mask pudge. It fits well enough. Slight shortening and tapering of the trousers are always needed. That's the reality of a manufactured suit. Unless you want stacking instead of a proper break. You can skip this if your kid is wearing slip on loafers, since the top line is lower. But anything like a brogues, dress boots, or oxfords will need tailoring. Huge tip, avoid super pointy dress shoes for kids. It makes their feet look comically large.Summary? It looks decent for an off the peg suit. Most kid's suits are 97% polyester with a slight shine. This one has enough wool to made it look kinda natural. But don't expect it to be thick like a professor's herringbone winter wool suit. Sacrifices were made. Otherwise it would be $600+ for a kid's semi-custom suit.
